TODAY at 12:30 PM: How Technology Is Shaping Democracy

Join VAAC for a powerful conversation on AI, public policy, and who gets left out

Today at 12:30 PM, VAAC is hosting a timely conversation on the role of technology in civic life and democracy. As artificial intelligence, algorithms, and data systems take root in elections and public policy, communities already facing barriers to voting and justice are at risk of being further excluded.

We’ll hear from Molly Kleinman and Kristin Burgard of the Science, Technology, and Public Policy (STPP) Program at the University of Michigan Ford School of Public Policy. This conversation will explore how tech is reshaping voter access, the criminal legal system, and what advocates on the ground need to know.
