This week, like most weeks, VAAC has been on the move—educating, organizing, and standing up for voting rights across Michigan!
Here’s What We’ve Been Up To:
- May 21: We joined Black Voters Matter for the State of the People Power Tour at Wayne County Community College in Detroit, connecting with community members about the importance of civic engagement.
- May 21: We participated in the STOP Voter Suppression Town Hall, a virtual event hosted by Voters Not Politicians, discussing strategies to combat voter suppression.
- May 22: We returned to Wayne County Community College for another day of the State of the People Power Tour, continuing our outreach and education efforts.
- May 22: We co-hosted the Pontiac Mayoral Candidate Forum in Pontiac, providing a platform for community members to hear directly from candidates about their visions for the city.
These events are just a glimpse into our ongoing work to ensure that every Michigander has the information and resources they need to vote.
But we can’t do it without your support.
Your donation helps us:
- Organize community events and public forums
- Create and distribute clear, accessible educational materials
- Train and mobilize volunteers for voter outreach
- Advocate for policies that protect and expand voting rights
Support our boots-on-the-ground efforts today.
Together, we can build a more inclusive and equitable democracy.
