The Thursday, October 3rd “Meet the Judicial Candidates” Forum at the Genesee County Jail is an educational moment for the men and women detained who have not lost their constitutional right to vote from jail.

Creating a system that allows men and women to exercise their constitutional right to access a ballot while in jail are moments of and for change. Empowering all voters is paramount! However, a jail vote also counts and shouldn’t be discredited!

Candidates for the Michigan Supreme Court, 2nd District Michigan Court of Appeals, and Genesee County 7th Circuit Judicial seats will be given the opportunity to present their vision and priorities as potential elected officials to the eligible voting residents at the jail.
