The Michigan League for Public Policy’s annual forum explores bold policies that will create an economy rooted in racial equity. Time is of the essence when it comes to building economic justice in Michigan; we must seize this opportunity to invest in what will create a stronger Michigan.

The theme of this year’s forum is Economic Justice for All and the keynote speakers will include Dr. Mona Hanna-Attisha and Dr. Luke Shaefer. They will discuss their work in improving public health and eradicating social and economic injustices.

There will also be a speaker’s panel moderated by Michigan Public Political Director Zoe Clark, which will feature Ann Arbor City Council Member Linh Song, the Michigan Department of Labor and Economic Opportunity Deputy Director of Prosperity Kim Trent and the Center on Budget and Policy Priorities Deputy Director for Economic Security at the Center on Budget and Policy Priorities Aditi Shrivastava.

The League’s Public Policy Forum is free and brings together hundreds of individuals who care deeply about building a stronger Michigan for all people–from policymakers to legislators, advocates, educators, members of foundations and community organizations, and other community members and stakeholders. If you are interested in learning more about how we can create a bold path forward for economic justice in Michigan, we encourage you to attend this not-to-be-missed event.
