With Election Day getting closer, maybe you’ve been wondering what you can do to help, but you don’t have time to travel to an event or spend hours volunteering.
You can get involved without leaving home!
VAAC has several virtual phone banking opportunities where you can join other volunteers, make calls to voters across Michigan, and share important information about voting rights and elections.
Never phone banked before? That’s okay! No previous experience is needed. Training and a script are provided, so you don’t have to figure everything out on your own.

Every Day: Constitutional Convention Phone Banking Power Hours
VAAC is hosting daily virtual phone banking sessions focused on Michigan’s Proposal 1, which asks voters whether to hold a constitutional convention in 2027.
Volunteers will make calls to voters across Michigan to discuss potential risks to voting access and fair redistricting, and explain Proposal 1 and what a constitutional convention could change.

Every Tuesday: Phone Banking with Common Cause Michigan
VAAC and Common Cause Michigan are continuing our Tuesday phone banking sessions to help Michigan voters get accurate election information.
Volunteers make calls to voters across Michigan, share information about voting rights and elections, and help address misinformation and confusion.
It’s an opportunity to connect with other volunteers while doing something concrete to help voters prepare for Election Day.

Friday, October 30: VAAC Friday Community Meeting Phone Banking Power Hour
We’re turning our October 30 VAAC Friday Community Meeting into another Phone Banking Power Hour!
Instead of our usual meeting format, we’ll spend the hour making calls to Michigan voters, sharing information about voting rights and elections, and helping address misinformation and confusion.
You don’t have to be an election expert to participate. We’ll provide the training and script, and you’ll be joining other VAAC community members who are doing this together.
