VAAC Friday Community Meetings Return September 11 With a Ballot Proposal Deep Dive

VAAC Friday Community Meetings return in September with a conversation focused on Michigan ballot initiatives and what voters need to understand about proposals that could make significant changes to the Michigan Constitution.

Our next statewide community meeting will take place Friday, September 11, from 12:30 to 1:30 PM ET on Zoom.

For Ballot Proposal Deep Dive: Michigan Ballot Initiatives Explained, VAAC will be joined by Nomi Joyrich, Michigan Director for Jews For a Secular Democracy and a member of the VAAC Leadership Team.

Nomi has decades of experience working on interfaith concerns, social justice issues, democracy, and public policy at the local, state, and national levels. She will help break down key Michigan ballot initiatives, what they propose to change, where they are in the process, and what voters should know as we move toward the November election.

The meeting will provide space for community members to ask questions, better understand the ballot initiative process, and discuss proposals that could have significant implications for voting rights and communities across Michigan.

Everyone is welcome.
