Michigan is one of the most important battleground states in America. The future of our democracy will not be determined by one organization, one race, one political party, or one movement.

It will be determined by whether people are willing to organize together.

Black August 2026 will bring together labor unions, civil rights organizations, faith communities, veterans, students, young leaders, election officials, grassroots organizers, business leaders, community organizations, and residents from every background who believe democracy is worth protecting.

Join these organizations on August 22, 2026 from 2-5:30 p.m. for a community rally, for culture, resources, food and fun. Then, help us work on election protection and defense.

Our history teaches us that when communities organize together, we expand opportunity, protect rights, and strengthen democracy for everyone.

Our future depends on doing it again.
