Supporting Michigan’s Election Officials and Election Workers – Virtual Day of Action Today!

As part of our participation in the Michigan Election Protection Program, Voting Access for All Coalition (VAAC) is joining partners across the state to highlight the work of Michigan’s election officials and election workers.

Several years ago, an organization called Michigan Fair Elections filed a Freedom of Information Act request for Detroit’s 2020 absentee ballots, ballot envelopes, and ballot applications. They received those materials late last year and have recently begun making claims about what they say they found.

Michigan’s election officials and election workers work hard every day to ensure that every voter can cast their ballot and that every vote is counted. Michigan’s election system includes many checks and balances to ensure elections are secure and accurate.

Across Michigan, organizations are coming together to show support for the local election officials, election workers, and volunteers who administer our elections.
