The Landscape of Criminal Legal Reform in Michigan: The Carceral State Project Symposium

Safe & Just Michigan’s Executive Director John S. Cooper and Community Engagement Specialist Ronnie Waters, will be featured panelists at Prison Creative Arts Project‘s the Carceral State Project 2025 Symposium on Saturday, March 29, 2025. along with other leaders in Michigan’s Criminal Justice reform movement from American Friends Service Committee MI Criminal Justice ProgramMichigan Center for Youth JusticeACLU of MichiganCampaign for the Fair Sentencing of Youth and Nation Outside.

The event will be held in the Multipurpose Room in the Trotter Multicultural Center (428 S State St, Ann Arbor, MI 48109) with a closing reception at the Duderstadt Center Gallery (2281 Bonisteel Blvd, Ann Arbor, MI 48109). *Shuttles between Trotter and Duderstadt will be provided.
