Wrongful Conviction Awareness: Eric Anderson to Educate Future Law Enforcement

Sharing Knowledge to Prevent Future Injustices

At VAAC, we believe in raising awareness about the flaws in the justice system and the need for reform. That’s why we’re sharing an important initiative from our friends at the Organization of Exonerees.

On March 28, 2025, Eric Anderson, Director of Programs and Operations/Co-Founder, at Organization of Exonerees, will travel to Illinois to educate police cadets on wrongful conviction awareness and prevention. This collaboration with the Illinois Innocence Project aims to equip future law enforcement officers with a deeper understanding of the justice system’s failures and the reforms needed to prevent future injustices.

Why This Matters

🔎 Too many innocent people are wrongfully convicted due to systemic failures.
Educating law enforcement is a critical step towards preventing future injustices.
📢 Awareness leads to change—understanding these issues helps build a more just system.
