| Monday April 8, 2024 – Lansing The Lansing City Council Meeting will be on Monday, April 8th from 7-9pm at Lansing City Hall 124 West Michigan Avenue Lansing 10th floor. At this meeting, the city council members will vote on a Resolution in support of HB 4878, The Fair Chance Housing Act! We need to convince the City Council Members to vote YES by testifying and making public comments as much as we can! If the Resolution passes, we will have yet another City in the State of Michigan that opposes Housing discrimination on the basis of a criminal record. We need everyone’s help with this! | Sunday April 28, 2024 – Grand Rapids Nation Outside is partnering with the Vera Institute to bring action on The Fair Chance Access to Housing Act (HB 4878). Join us on Sunday, April 28th from 3-4pm at LINC UP, 1167 Madison Ave SE, GR, for a press conference to bring attention and demand solutions to the issue of housing discrimination against Michiganders with conviction histories. We will be in Grand Rapids ahead of Michigan Civil Rights Commission hearings on Fair Housing. This is our chance to show all of Michigan how much support there is for #HousingNotHurdles!
