Join us to launch Let Me Tell You: Every Sentence Has a Story! Hear stories of how individuals living the reality of long sentences, and those that love them, survive, cope, and even thrive through long imprisonment and punishment. Celebrate our full humanity together and gain tools for how to facilitate powerful heart change work in your larger networks and communities.
Let Me Tell You is a storytelling initiative of the Michigan Collaborative to End Mass Incarceration, guided by the American Friends Service Committee and the University of Michigan’s Prison Creative Arts Project and Carceral State Project. The project works across Michigan’s 31 prison facilities to document the experience of life and long-term prison sentences. All of the stories will be archived at the University of Michigan.
