The ACLU Oakland-Macomb regional team is hosting an event on Wednesday, March 9th from 7:00 – 8:00 pm to learn more about cash bail legislation, where it stands, and what we can do to make sure it becomes law in 2022. Special Guest ACLU Senior Staff Attorney Phil Mayor will be speaking about his work litigating bail-related lawsuits in Oakland and Wayne Counties, including a case ACLU took all the way to the Michigan Supreme Court and won, and the need for statewide reform from a legal perspective. 

We are at a critical moment in this campaign and need everyone who has been active or interested in learning more to attend.
