VAAC Friday Community Meetings

VAAC Friday Community Meetings are a weekly space for connection, updates, and shared learning.

We bring together directly impacted people, organizers, advocates, and community members across Michigan to talk about voting access, the criminal legal system, and the issues shaping our lives and communities.

Each week we focus on timely topics including policy changes, community organizing, and civic education. There is always space for questions, conversation, and strategy.

This week join us for The Numbers Tell the Story: Michigan Lawmakers Passed an $81 Billion Budget – But What Does It Mean for Us? Guest Presenters Tony Gant, Policy Consultant & Advocate for Justice-Impacted Communities and Chuck Warpehoski, Program Director for Michigan Collaborative to End Mass Incarceration (MI-CEMI) will unpack Michigan’s finalized state budget – from housing, criminal justice reform, and reentry to education, voting access, and public safety. We’ll break down what this budget means for our communities in the year ahead

    Hi
My name is Laura Amos, I live in Southfield, MI.
I wanted to ask if you will have the Trunk or Treat in your parking lot this year 2025?
I brought my grandchildren last year 2024 and it was very nice for them.
