Last week, the House of Representatives passed legislation that could impact health care access for many individuals. The bill, known as the “Big Beautiful Bill,” proposes cuts to Medicaid in order to fund tax cuts for high-income earners.
In Michigan, this could mean up to 300,000 people losing their primary insurance, and higher health care costs for everyone.
It’s important to stay informed about the potential consequences of this legislation. That’s why we’re sharing information about a People’s Town Hall hosted by Senator Elissa Slotkin in Michigan’s 7th Congressional District.
This event will be an opportunity to hear from Rep. Kristen McDonald-Rivet, ask questions, and engage in a conversation about the future of health care in our communities.
We encourage all those interested to attend and be part of this important discussion.
Friday, June 6th at 5:30pm
They will take your questions, and have an honest conversation about the way forward.
