The Voting Access for All Coalition stands firmly against the SAVE Act, a dangerous piece of legislation that threatens the voting rights of justice-impacted individuals, people experiencing homelessness, and other historically marginalized communities. What is the SAVE Act and Why Does It Matter?
The SAVE Act is a direct attack on our fundamental rights. If passed, this bill would impose new barriers that disproportionately impact:
- Formerly incarcerated individuals seeking to reintegrate into civic life
- People experiencing homelessness who face difficulties in maintaining voter registration
- Young voters, people of color, and transgender individuals already facing systemic disenfranchisement
This legislation is not about protecting elections—it’s about silencing voices.
