2026 is a critical year for our democracy and our communities. Across Michigan and the country, we are facing ongoing threats to voting access, civil rights, and policies that impact people most affected by the criminal legal system.

VAAC Friday meetings bring together directly impacted people, organizers, advocates, and community members from across Michigan to connect, learn, and build collective strategy.

During this meeting, we will reflect on the current civic landscape, review key takeaways from the 2025 election results, and share VAAC’s 2026 priorities as we move toward the midterms. We will also discuss emerging threats to voting access and ways to engage in the work ahead.
