Free expungement support and community resources in Detroit

Earlier this month, VAAC committed to being present where it matters most: alongside our neighbors working to clear barriers and reclaim their power. On Saturday, September 20, from 10 AM–2 PM, we’ll be tabling at the Clínica de eliminación de antecedentes penales de Detroit Clean Slate at the Mathis Community Center, hosted by Project Clean Slate, Judge Greg Mathis, and Jade E. Mathis, Esq.

Este outdoor clinic offers Detroit residents the chance to:

• Learn about eligibility and sign up for Project Clean Slate’s free expungement program
• Speak directly with attorneys and city leaders
• Connect with resources like Detroit at Work, housing and revitalization services, and VAAC’s own voter education tools
