los League of Women Voters of Michigan is seeking volunteers from democracy partner organizations to support its 2026 Board of Canvassers Observation Program.
After Michigan’s August 4 Primary Election and November 3 General Election, county Boards of Canvassers review election records and complete the process of certifying local election results. League volunteers observe this work from the beginning of the canvass through certification.
The League conducts this nonpartisan observation program after each August and November election. Because some areas of Michigan do not have a local League presence, volunteers from partner organizations are needed to help expand coverage across the state.
Observers must:
- Participate in required training
- Attend one or more assigned observation shifts
- Submit a report after each shift
People who complete the interest form will be contacted when shift dates, times, and sign-up information become available.
