Senator Stephanie Chang and American Pride Rises Host a Critical Community Conversation

This weekend, VAAC will be on the ground as community members, educators, and organizers come together for an urgent townhall on how diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) policies shape opportunity, belonging, and access in Michigan. As harmful anti-DEI efforts gain traction nationwide, this discussion offers space for people to share lived experiences and deepen understanding of what is at stake.

Hosted by Senator Stephanie Chang and American Pride Rises, the event will feature panelists working daily to expand educational access, strengthen community support systems, and protect civil rights. Attendees will explore current threats to DEI initiatives and discuss how attacks on DEI directly harm communities across Michigan.
