Back 2 School Pep Rally at Spirit Plaza
The Back 2 School Pep Rally at Spirit Plaza will bring families together for music, games, dancing, face painting, giveaways, and other activities as young people prepare for the new school year.
VAAC will be on site providing voter education, answering voting questions, and helping eligible community members register to vote.

MI-CEMI General Member Convening
The Michigan Collaborative to End Mass Incarceration will hold its next General Member Convening online, with a focus on the year-end electoral push.
Angela Davenport, VAAC Executive Director, will speak about voter access and turnout. Lynna Kaucheck of Michigan Voices will discuss Protect the Vote.

DFA 313 Votes: Our Power at the Polls
Michigan League of Conservation Voters Education Fund is organizing DFA 313 Votes: Our Power at the Polls, an evening focused on youth participation in democracy and the role of women’s voices in the political process.
The event will begin with a screening of Selma Sisters March On, followed by a Q&A and refreshments.
VAAC will be there to provide information about ballot proposals this year, with a particular focus on ConCon, Proposal 1.
Other participating organizations include the League of Women Voters, Black Convergence, When You Vote, I Win, and RegisterHer.
