A message from Mothering Justice:
Hey mamas!
We know it’s been heavy. From children being separated from their parents, to mamas dying after childbirth because they’ve lost their right to bodily autonomy, to mamas standing up for their neighbors—this moment is hard, and it demands our voices. Join us—Mothering Justice, Detroit Parent Network, ABISA, MI Poder, Reproductive Freedom for All, and 482 Forward—from 5-7PM as we map out what we can do collectively in this moment. We want to hear from you, and we want you to know: you are not alone.
This Mamas Organizing night is a space for healing, community, and action. We’ll center the voices of those most directly impacted—especially Indigenous, Black, and Brown mamas—while creating room for all of us to collaborate, care for one another, and organize together.
We believe the work moves at the speed of trust. So we’re coming together to build that trust, to love with rigor and compassion, and to map out what we can do collectively right now.
Please share widely, and please RSVP by Thursday, January 29 here –> https://www.instagram.com/p/DUCCFKFkWe3/?igsh=MWZjaGdzZWdkZ2puNg==
There’s room for every mama ready to show up, listen, and take action together.
We look forward to seeing you.
