YES! YOU CAN VOTE! EVEN IF…

  • You have a felony record
  • You are on probation, parole, or tether
  • You are awaiting arraignment or trial
  • Your housing is unstable
  • You do not have a Michigan ID

… as long as you are a U. S. citizen, reside in Michigan and are at least 18 years old.

To register to vote you will need ONE of these:

  • Michigan driver’s license
  • State ID card
  • Current utility bill
  • Bank statement
  • Paycheck or government check
  • Other government document

Voting in Person on Election Day

Polls are open from 7:00 AM to 8:00 PM on election day

If you are in line by 8 PM you are allowed to vote. It is best to bring a photo ID. If you do not have one you can still vote if you sign the form.
