DESCRIPTION:Join us at 10 AM on April 23rd for the VAAC Statewide Jail Voti
 ng Work Group\, where we are building and advancing coordinated statewide 
 efforts to ensure individuals legally eligible to vote while detained in j
 ail have access to the ballot.\n\nFor years\, eligible voters in Michigan 
 jails have fallen through the cracks. Many people detained pretrial or oth
 erwise not serving a sentence are legally eligible to vote\, yet barriers 
 inside facilities continue to silence their voices.\n\nThis work is about 
 building the infrastructure\, relationships\, and accountability systems n
 eeded to change that.\n\nDuring this meeting\, we ‘ll walk through how w
 e are moving into coordinated implementation\, including clear roles\, nex
 t steps\, and opportunities to plug in immediately.\n\nIf you work in or a
 round jails\, have relationships with clerks or sheriffs\, are engaged in 
 reentry or civic education work\, or are committed to ensuring democracy i
