DESCRIPTION:VAAC Friday Community Meetings are a weekly space for connectio
 n\, updates\, and shared learning.\nAt our next VAAC meeting on May 8th\, 
 we’ll take a closer look at what access really means for communities who
 se voices are too often dismissed or overlooked.\n\nWe’ll talk about wha
 t voting and civic participation look like right now for people who contin
 ue to face barriers\, especially in the wake of ongoing rollbacks to votin
 g rights protections\, and what it takes to build real civic power in the 
 face of those challenges.\n\nWe’ll also be shining a spotlight on people
  in our county jails\, breaking down what the voting process actually look
 s like behind the walls\, where the barriers exist\, and what must change
