DESCRIPTION:\nDisability Pride Month is a time to recognize the history\, l
 eadership\, and experiences of people with disabilities. It is also a remi
 nder that disability rights\, voting rights\, and civil rights are connect
 ed.\n\n\n\nVoting access means more than being legally eligible to vote. I
 t also means voters can get the information\, assistance\, accommodations\
 , and accessible options they need to participate.\n\n\n\nJoin Voting Acce
 ss For All Coalition (VAAC) on Friday\, July 17 at 12:30 PM ET at bit.ly/V
 AACFridays for a community conversation focused on Disability Pride Month\
 , voting rights\, and building elections and communities that include ever
 yone.\n\n\n\nThis week\, VAAC will be joined by:\n\n\n\n✨ Eric Welsby\, 
 Advocacy Director at Detroit Disability Power\n\n\n\n✨ Christopher Samp\
 , Director of the Office of Disability Affairs with the Civil Rights\, Inc
 lusion\, &amp\; Opportunity Department for the City of Detroit\n\n\n\nEric
  will discuss disability voting rights\, accessible voting equipment\, com
 mon accessibility barriers voters may encounter\, and how advocates\, elec
 tion officials\, poll challengers\, and election protection volunteers can
  help ensure every eligible voter can cast their ballot independently\, pr
 ivately\, and with dignity.\n\n\n\nChristopher will share more about the C
 ity of Detroit’s Office of Disability Affairs\, the work the office is l
 eading\, and resources available to Detroit residents.\n\n\n\nThis meeting
  will cover:\n\n\n\n• Disability voting rights and protections for voter
 s with disabilities • Accessible voting equipment\, including Voter Assi
 st Terminals • Common accessibility barriers before\, during\, and after
  voting • What poll challengers\, election protection volunteers\, elect
 ion officials\, and advocates should watch for on Election Day • How to 
 help ensure every eligible voter can cast their ballot independently\, pri
