DESCRIPTION:\nWe are thrilled to invite you to the Voice of Detroit Youth S
 ummit\, part of The State of The Young Listening Tour\, hosted by the Youn
 g Voices Action Collective (YVAC Fund). This summit will take place from A
 ugust 2-4\, 2024\, in Detroit\, MI.&nbsp\;\n\n\n\nAugust 3 @ The Love Buil
 ding on Grand River: Press conference with youth speakers\, panel discussi
 ons on Detroit youth and investment opportunities\, workshops\, breakout s
 essions\, and a SOTY spotlight.\n\n\n\nThe Voice of Detroit Youth Summit a
 ims to bring together young leaders\,their families\, content creators and
  aligned organizations to connect\, learn\, and inspire each other. The Su
 mmit will feature discussions\, workshops\, and activities designed to emp
 ower Black youth and their families\, fostering a community of mutual aid\
 , advocacy\, and transformative justice.\n\n\n\nThe RSVP and more for The

 Y) Initiative\n\n\n\nMarking the 60th anniversary of the Freedom Summer\, 
 YVAC is continuing the legacy of freedom fighters by launching the State o
 f the Young Listening Tour (SOTY) by traveling across the Midwest and Sout
 h\, bringing mutual aid\, political education\, and resources to Black and
  Brown youth. Our SOTY tool (launched in 2021) is the guiding star to unde
 rstand the needs of the youth and families we serve by asking the very sim
 ple questions: What do you care about\, and what do you need?\n
