 ic Library\n\nHealing Word Artists and the Detroit Public Library will hos
 t a program examining women’s voting history\, civic participation\, and
  contemporary challenges to political engagement.\n\nThe program includes 
 two sections\, “Women Then &amp\; Now” and “What’s at Stake? / Let
 ’s Work Together.” Presentations and discussions will address the 19th
  Amendment and Voting Rights Act\, the history of unions and the middle cl
 ass\, political corruption\, voter apathy\, and strategies for engaging mo
 re people in civic life.\n\nVAAC will be represented by Christopher Ford\,
  who will speak about voter apathy\, including among Millennials\, Gen Z\,
  and men.\n\nThe program also features performances by Healing Word Artist
 s\, moderated conversations\, and opportunities for audience questions.\n\
