 olence MI is proud to host their first-ever non-partisan Governor Candidat
 e Forum in Detroit.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThis is
  a unique opportunity for our community to engage directly with candidates
  running for Governor. Each candidate will be invited to share their visio
 n for keeping Michigan communities safe and to answer our questions about 
 how they plan to be true champions for gun violence prevention. We are exc
 ited to have Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson\, and Sheriff Chris Swanson
  confirmed so far!\n\nThis forum isn’t just about hearing from the candi
 dates. It’s about making sure the voices of survivors\, advocates\, and 
 community leaders across the state are at the center of the conversation. 
 Candidates will be asked to address the following topics:\n\n 	Protecting 
 our schools &amp\; children.\n 	Suicide prevention.\n 	Community violence 
 intervention.\n 	Domestic violence.\n 	Holding the gun industry accountabl
 e.\n 	Protecting our democracy.\n\nYour participation matters! If we want 
 change\, we all need to show up to demonstrate how important community saf
 ety and democracy really are.\n\nAfter the forum\, we will host an organiz
 ation fair so attendees can get involved with local groups that are workin
