DESCRIPTION:The ACLU of Michigan is hosting additional Power &amp\; Purpos
 e Trainings in 2026!\nSee what's happening in your area and sign up to be 
 notified when registration opens!\nOverview\nWe are in the fight of a life
 time to defend our rights\, our freedoms\, and our democracy. The Power &a
 mp\; Purpose Training hosted by the ACLU of Michigan is a free\, high impa
 ct\, one day experience designed to give you the tools to organize\, mobil
 ize\, and lead in this critical moment. Our communities need bold action\,
  and we need you in the fight! All we ask is that you commit to the full 
 day and bring someone with you. Organizing is relational\, and the path fo
 rward depends on all of us. Now is the moment to stand up for our democrac
 y\, so join us for this training and be part of the movement for change.\n
 \nWho This Training Is For \n\n 	\nThis training is for people ready to
  turn outrage into action. People who want to learn how to organize effec
 tively in their community\, have persuasive conversations that move people
  to action\, and build lasting connections with others who are ready to ri
 se to the moment.\n\n\n\n 	\nThis training is for people who align with th
 e mission of the ACLU of Michigan\, to protect and expand civil rights and
  civil liberties for all people in Michigan and who want to join us in th
 is work.\n\n\n\n 	\nThis is a foundational level training\, but all exp
 erience levels are welcome.\n\n\n\n 	\nThis will be a full day of in-perso
 n training with no virtual option provided\, so please consider your cap
 acity when signing up.\n\n\n\n 	\nASL interpretation and Closed Captioning
  will be provided.\n\n\nWhat You Will Learn \n\n 	\nUnderstand the threat
  of authoritarianism and the power of mass nonviolent resistance to defend
  democracy.\n\n\n\n 	\nLearn how to map our communities and engage people 
 through persuasive\, values-based conversations.\n\n\n\n 	\nGain skills to
  build authentic relationships and overcome hesitation in talking to frien
 ds and family about what’s at stake.\n\n\n\n 	\nDevelop a plan to acti
 vate your networks and inspire others to take meaningful collective action
