{"id":631,"date":"2021-06-24T22:20:03","date_gmt":"2021-06-25T02:20:03","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/votingaccessforall.org\/?p=631"},"modified":"2021-09-07T12:02:20","modified_gmt":"2021-09-07T16:02:20","slug":"end-prison-gerrymandering","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/votingaccessforall.org\/es\/2021\/06\/end-prison-gerrymandering\/","title":{"rendered":"Poner fin a la manipulaci\u00f3n de prisiones"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>La Coalici\u00f3n de Acceso al Voto para Todos (VAAC) lo insta a apoyar <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"http:\/\/www.legislature.mi.gov\/(S(mrot33ppcosc4q5z2rxtxoyo))\/mileg.aspx?page=BillStatus&amp;objectname=2021-HB-4276\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"http:\/\/www.legislature.mi.gov\/(S(mrot33ppcosc4q5z2rxtxoyo))\/mileg.aspx?page=BillStatus&amp;objectname=2021-HB-4276\" target=\"_blank\">Proyecto de Ley 4276<\/a> y <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"http:\/\/www.legislature.mi.gov\/(S(bsqe5fkalfg0lca1yee1cptf))\/mileg.aspx?page=GetObject&amp;objectname=2021-SB-0151\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"http:\/\/www.legislature.mi.gov\/(S(bsqe5fkalfg0lca1yee1cptf))\/mileg.aspx?page=GetObject&amp;objectname=2021-SB-0151\" target=\"_blank\">Proyecto de Ley del Senado 151<\/a>, que buscan acabar con el gerrymandering en las prisiones del estado de Michigan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201c<strong>Gerrymandering de prisiones<\/strong>\u201d manipula y distorsiona el proceso de votaci\u00f3n al contar a las personas que est\u00e1n encarceladas como residentes del distrito en el que est\u00e1n encarceladas, en lugar de contarlas como residentes de sus comunidades de origen. El problema es que las personas que est\u00e1n encarceladas se cuentan como parte de una comunidad en la que, en la mayor\u00eda de los casos, no regresar\u00e1n al ser liberados. Tambi\u00e9n es problem\u00e1tico que las personas encarceladas se cuenten como parte de un distrito, pero no tengan la oportunidad de participar en el proceso de votaci\u00f3n. La manipulaci\u00f3n de las prisiones erosiona las fibras de la democracia y la decencia moral al desviar el poder pol\u00edtico hacia \u00e1reas rurales menos pobladas donde se encuentran las prisiones y lejos de las comunidades urbanas.<br>donde la gente volver\u00eda. As\u00ed es c\u00f3mo:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Env\u00ede un correo electr\u00f3nico a la presidenta del Comit\u00e9 de \u00c9tica y Elecciones de la C\u00e1mara, Ann Bollin, a AnnBollin@house.mi.gov, y solicite que se d\u00e9 una audiencia a la HB 4276.<\/li><li>Env\u00ede un correo electr\u00f3nico al presidente del Comit\u00e9 Judicial y de Seguridad P\u00fablica del Senado, Roger Victory, a senrvictory@senate.michigan.gov, y solicite que se d\u00e9 una audiencia a la SB 151.<\/li><li>Encuentre otras organizaciones e individuos interesados en apoyar y an\u00edmelos a alzar la voz y comun\u00edquese con los dos presidentes mencionados anteriormente.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Gracias a todos los que hablaron con la Comisi\u00f3n de Redistribuci\u00f3n de Distritos de Ciudadanos Independientes de Michigan (MICRC) durante sus Audiencias de Comunidad de Inter\u00e9s hasta el 1 de julio.   <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>No es demasiado tarde para que el MICRC escuche su voz sobre este tema tan importante.
