Los negros se conforman<a href=\"https:\/\/perma.cc\/KJT2-63HQ\"> 51 por ciento<\/a> de la poblaci\u00f3n carcelaria de Michigan y s\u00f3lo el 15 por ciento de la poblaci\u00f3n total. Estudios adicionales<a href=\"https:\/\/perma.cc\/H7UY-CXZ2\"> repetidamente<\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/perma.cc\/G8AT-Y2AH\"> encontrar<\/a> que los proveedores de vivienda a menudo usan antecedentes penales para discriminar a los solicitantes negros, aplicando diferentes pol\u00edticas de selecci\u00f3n a los solicitantes blancos.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Michigan tiene una oportunidad hist\u00f3rica para abordar estas desigualdades al aprobar la Ley de Acceso Justo a la Vivienda. No s\u00f3lo se ha encontrado que esta discriminaci\u00f3n<a href=\"https:\/\/perma.cc\/A94D-7W5R\"> violar<\/a> el<a href=\"https:\/\/perma.cc\/9SGW-W86B\"> Ley de Vivienda Justa<\/a>, tambi\u00e9n va en contra<a href=\"https:\/\/perma.cc\/JR29-NQDA\"> mejores pr\u00e1cticas para la selecci\u00f3n de inquilinos<\/a> del Departamento de Vivienda y Desarrollo Urbano de los Estados Unidos.
