{"id":285012,"date":"2026-11-05T20:54:25","date_gmt":"2026-11-06T01:54:25","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/votingaccessforall.org\/?p=285012"},"modified":"2026-11-05T20:54:28","modified_gmt":"2026-11-06T01:54:28","slug":"by-the-numbers-vaacs-election-outreach-and-voter-support","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/votingaccessforall.org\/es\/2026\/11\/by-the-numbers-vaacs-election-outreach-and-voter-support\/","title":{"rendered":"By the Numbers: VAAC&#8217;s Election Outreach and Voter Support"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">From knocking on doors and making phone calls to providing rides and supporting voters at polling locations, VAAC volunteers and ambassadors worked to help community members access the ballot.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Many of the people we helped register and get to the polls voted for the very first time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 id=\"our-election-work-by-the-numbers\" class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Our Election Work by the Numbers<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>97,904 phone calls made<\/strong> to reach voters<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>8,654 doors knocked<\/strong> in less than 30 days<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>3,082 residents spoken to<\/strong> through door-to-door outreach<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>9 volunteer drivers<\/strong> providing individual rides on Election Day<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>6 busloads of voters<\/strong> transported to the polls<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>8 facilities visited<\/strong> on Election Day, including shelters, transitional housing programs, drug and alcohol treatment facilities, and a career training and mentorship center serving young returning citizens<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>22 poll challengers<\/strong> contributing <strong>155 hours<\/strong> of poll challenging<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>5 poll monitors<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>22 polling locations staffed<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 id=\"behind-every-number-are-people\" class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Behind Every Number Are People<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On November 3, our team helped voters get to the polls through individual rides and six busloads of community members. Our volunteers and ambassadors visited eight facilities, reaching people who often face barriers to voting, including those experiencing housing instability, people in treatment programs, and young returning citizens.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">These numbers represent thousands of conversations, hours of volunteer commitment, and the practical support it takes to help people participate in elections.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The photos capture some of the voters who cast their ballots, including first-time voters, alongside the VAAC volunteers and ambassadors who helped them get there.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>To our volunteers and ambassadors:<\/strong> Thank you for your patience, dedication, and follow-through. You gave people your time, helped them work through the steps of registering and voting, and made sure they had transportation when they needed it. That care made this work possible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>And to everyone who cast a ballot, especially those voting for the first time:<\/strong> We&#8217;re grateful we got to share that day with you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Civic participation doesn&#8217;t begin or end on Election Day.
