VAAC joined When You Vote I Win\u2019s 2nd Annual Juneteenth Cookout<\/strong><\/a> at Pebble Creek Park in Southfield, connecting with residents during a community celebration focused on Juneteenth, civic participation, and community connection.<\/p>\n\n\n\n VAAC also co-hosted the Committee for the 1st Amendment Concert Watch Party and Voting Rights Community Art Project<\/strong><\/a> in Southgate with Metro indivisible de Detroit<\/strong> y Indivisible Down River 734<\/strong>. The event brought community members together around voting rights, creative expression, and civic education.<\/p>\n\n\n\n On June 20, VAAC participated in D\u00eda de los Ciudadanos que Regresan<\/strong><\/a> at the Spirit of Detroit, hosted by JustUsNow<\/strong>. June 20 is now officially recognized as D\u00eda de los Ciudadanos que Regresan<\/a> in Detroit, and the event created space to recognize returning citizens and connect people with community resources.<\/p>\n\n\n\n VAAC joined Representative Brenda Carter\u2019s Fair Chance Returning Citizens Resource Fair<\/strong><\/a> in Pontiac, sharing voting rights information and voter registration support with community members<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n VAAC also participated in two Silence the Violence<\/strong> events in Detroit. The first was End Gun Violence Michigan\u2019s 19th Annual Silence the Violence March<\/strong><\/a> at Church of the Messiah. The second was the Evento de extensi\u00f3n comunitaria del Centro de Ayuda Comunitaria Charles W.
