Abril es reconocido como el Mes de la Segunda Oportunidad en Michigan, tras una proclamaci\u00f3n de la gobernadora Gretchen Whitmer.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Este reconocimiento contribuye a resaltar la importancia de una reinserci\u00f3n exitosa y la necesidad de eliminar las barreras que enfrentan las personas que regresan a casa tras cumplir condena. Asimismo, crea un espacio para seguir impulsando pol\u00edticas, actividades de defensa y trabajo comunitario en todo el estado.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Para muchos exconvictos, las barreras para acceder a vivienda, empleo, atenci\u00f3n m\u00e9dica y estabilidad siguen siendo una realidad. El trabajo de VAAC se centra en garantizar que las personas afectadas por el sistema de justicia penal tengan acceso a la informaci\u00f3n, el apoyo y las herramientas necesarias para participar plenamente en la vida c\u00edvica.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Como el Presupuesto del a\u00f1o fiscal 2027<\/a> Se est\u00e1 finalizando, hay una oportunidad de invertir en:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022 Prevenci\u00f3n y desviaci\u00f3n de la violencia en la comunidad<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022 Acceso a la atenci\u00f3n m\u00e9dica y a la educaci\u00f3n en el interior.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022 Apoyo para la reinserci\u00f3n, incluso para personas que no est\u00e1n en libertad condicional.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
