La legislaci\u00f3n que autoriza a los jueces a revisar las sentencias despu\u00e9s de que una persona ha cumplido un largo per\u00edodo de tiempo se ha denominado ley de segunda revisi\u00f3n. Hoy, The Sentencing Project public\u00f3 un nuevo informe: \u201cEl movimiento de segunda mirada: una revisi\u00f3n de las leyes de revisi\u00f3n de sentencias del pa\u00eds<\/a>\u201d, destacando la evoluci\u00f3n y el creciente impulso del movimiento de segunda mirada en todo el pa\u00eds.
