Contamos con programas emergentes de alcance comunitario en los condados de Macomb, Ingham y Berrien.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 id=\"why-it-matters\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Por qu\u00e9 es importante<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Muchas personas en Michigan desconocen su derecho al voto tras ser encarceladas o nunca han recibido informaci\u00f3n precisa sobre c\u00f3mo participar. La desinformaci\u00f3n y la desconfianza son comunes, sobre todo en comunidades hist\u00f3ricamente excluidas. VAAC se re\u00fane con las personas personalmente, ofreciendo informaci\u00f3n clara, respondiendo preguntas y creando un espacio para el di\u00e1logo c\u00edvico. Creemos que el fortalecimiento del poder y la ayuda mutua deben ir de la mano; no se puede pedir a las personas que participen c\u00edvicamente si est\u00e1n preocupadas por sus necesidades b\u00e1sicas. Nuestro modelo conecta con las personas donde se encuentran: con alimento, dignidad y conocimiento. Cuando las personas cuentan con recursos, informaci\u00f3n y un sentido de pertenencia, se convierten en poderosos agentes de cambio.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 id=\"history\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">History<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Voting Access for All Coalition was founded in Spring, 2020.  Started as a grassroots effort to get more formerly incarcerated citizens involved in their communities, it has grown into a statewide organizing force conducting voter outreach, organizing jail voting programs, building civic power, amplifying marginalized voices, and building a more just and representative civic architecture.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity is-style-dots\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-align-center\" id=\"in-memory-of-our-founding-leaders\">En memoria de nuestros l\u00edderes fundadores<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">All those who began this journey with us are no longer with us. We are grateful for all that they accomplished for those impacted by the criminal legal system. VAAC was built upon their vision and commitment to make a kinder, more just world.
