DESCRIPTION:As our nonpartisan\, pro-democracy coalition continues to organ
 ize to raise awareness about the red tape voter suppression ballot proposa
 l\, we want to invite individuals and organizations to participate in a vi
 rtual day of action on Thursday\, February 19th. \n\n\nThroughout the last
  several months\, nonpartisan\, pro-democracy organizations have been host
 ing "Know Before You Sign" and "Decline to Sign" training and information 
 sessions to try and ensure voters know about this harmful proposal. \n\nT
 he goal of the day of action is simple: Amplify messaging about the impact
  that the documentary proof of citizenship proposal would have on voters\,
  share stories from impacted voters and promote greater awareness about ho
 w the proposal would negatively impact voting access in Michigan.\n\nHere
 ’s how you and your organizations can participate:\n\n1) Share “Know B
 efore You Sign” or “Decline to Sign” content on social media channel
 s  using the MI Storyteller Tool Social Toolkit \n\n2) Record and post v
 ideo testimonials highlighting the harmful effects of documentary proof of
  citizenship policies on eligible voters\n\n3) Refer to the MI Storyteller
  Tool Social Toolkit and share the Vote Riders SoSha Story Recording Tool 
 with members and encourage them to post video testimonials using the hasht
 ag #HandsOffMIVote\n\n4) Amplify Voters Not Politicians videos previously 
 posted on Facebook and Instagram\n\n5) Write and submit an op-ed or letter
  to the editor
