DESCRIPTION:VAAC Friday Community Meetings are a weekly space for connectio
 n\, updates\, and shared learning.\nFrom Black girls to Black mothers and 
 caregivers\, civic power shapes our health\, safety\, and futures.\nOur ne
 xt VAAC Friday Community Meeting will be in recognition of Black Maternal 
 Health Week.\nBlack maternal health is a real issue in our communities\, s
 haped by decisions being made every day. Access to care\, safe housing\, e
 conomic stability\, and the impact of the criminal legal system all play a
  role in whether Black women\, families\, and caregivers can live\, give b
 irth\, and care for one another with dignity.\nThis is about what’s bein
 g prioritized and who is being supported.\nThis conversation will look at 
 how civic engagement and voting shape these conditions\, and why building 
 civic power is necessary if we want different outcomes.\nWe will be welcom
 ing Cassy Jones-McBryde\, Founder of the Michigan Chamber for Reproductive
  Justice\, as our guest speaker.\nJoin us as we name what’s at stake and
