DESCRIPTION:Michigan is one of the most important battleground states in Am
 erica. The future of our democracy will not be determined by one organizat
 ion\, one race\, one political party\, or one movement.\n\nIt will be dete
 rmined by whether people are willing to organize together.\n\nBlack August
  2026 will bring together labor unions\, civil rights organizations\, fait
 h communities\, veterans\, students\, young leaders\, election officials\,
  grassroots organizers\, business leaders\, community organizations\, and 
 residents from every background who believe democracy is worth protecting.
 \n\nJoin these organizations on August 22\, 2026 from 2-5:30 p.m. for a co
 mmunity rally\, for culture\, resources\, food and fun. Then\, help us wor
 k on election protection and defense.\n\nOur history teaches us that when 
 communities organize together\, we expand opportunity\, protect rights\, a
