 gislative Education Day\, "A Better Way for Michigan\," on Tuesday\, May 
 6\, 2025\, from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM at Lansing Central United Methodi
 st Church\, 215 N. Capitol Ave.\, Lansing\, MI 48933.\n\n\n\nFor 14 years
 \, Legislative Education Day has provided a crucial platform for families\
 , advocates\, community members\, and policymakers to come together and di
 scuss urgent issues surrounding rehabilitative justice.\n\n\n\nThis year
 ’s theme\, "A Better Way for Michigan\," focuses on the need for Transp
 arency\, Accountability\, Culture Change\, and Oversight (TACO) in our ja
 ils and prisons. To amplify this message\, we will be hosting a "Taco Tues
 day" event for Legislative Education Day\, offering additional opportuniti
 es for engagement and delicious tacos for lunch!\n\n\n\nJoin us for a day 
 of impactful discussions and networking\, featuring these special guest sp
 eakers:\n\n\n\n\nBrian Dawe\, National Director\, One Voice United  – 
 Sharing a vision for a better way in Michigan.\n\n\n\nDeputized Percy Glov
 er (Formerly Incarcerated) – IGNITE: Speaking on the transformative powe
 r of rehabilitation versus the limitations of punishment.\n\n\n\nMajor Gou
 ld\, Genesee County Jail – IGNITE: Sharing insights on data driven progr
 amming that focuses on human dignity.\n\n\n\n\nOur team can provide assist
 ance in scheduling meetings with legislators\, empowering families to di
 rectly advocate for change.Beyond the informative sessions\, we'll also pr
 esent our award-winning documentary\, 'MI Visits Matter: The Family Cost o
 f Incarceration\,' and other powerful short films. \n\n\n\nWe will also h
 ave our model solitary cell experience available\, both indoors and outdoo
 rs\, to provide a powerful and visceral understanding of the realities of
