 ing Voices is hosting our very first advocacy day at the Michigan State Ca
 pitol on Wednesday\, June 17th at the Central United Methodist Church (215
  N Capitol Ave\, Lansing\, MI 48933) from 9am to 3pm. \nRising Voices mem
 bers and attendees will be meeting with their state legislators to advocat
 e for the passage of the Michigan Voting Rights Act (SB 961-964 &amp\; 
 HB 5969-5972)\, the ICE Accountability bills (SB 508-510)\, and the Teach 
 MI History legislation (SB 453-455 &amp\; HB 4697-4689). We ask that at
 tendees be prepared to share their experiences and personal connections wi
 th the legislation and issues. Materials and resources will be provided by
  Rising Voices staff ahead of the Advocacy Day.\nRising Voices will be pro
 viding a light breakfast and lunch for attendees. We recommended business 
 casual attire and comfortable walking shoes. If you would like to volunte
